Lukman insisted that his dismissal from the KW-IRS was purely based on politics and hatred harbored towards me by few who believe the agency is their personal property.

TENSION AND CONFUSION IN APC OVER KWARA NORTH DEFECTIONS
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Less than forty eight hours after the gale of defections from both the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC and the People’s Democratic Party, PDP to the Social Democratic Party, SDP in about eleven wards in Baruten Local Government Area of Kwara North, the dust is causing serious convulsion in the camp of the APC.

A faceless agent of the Party in Baruten actually put up a write-up in some APC platforms yesterday that a Public Servant sacked over fraudulent acts led the decampees to the camp of the SDP in Kwara North

The agent alleged that Musa Lukman Sabe was a staff of Kwara State Internal Revenue Service and was demised from service over fraudulent acts. According to him, before his dismissal, Musa was serving at Baruten local government and was subjected to investigation on fraudulent charges.

He also quoted some unnamed “sources” alleging that “Musa Lukman Sabe among others have been sabotaging the efforts of the administration of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq towards raking revenue for the development of the state.”

However, in his reaction today, Lukman punctured the balloon of the allegations saying he was never indicted by Police or any agency of government over corruption or any form of malpractice, adding that the news about fraud is purely a political gimmick by a drowning party in distress

According to him, “I read with utmost dismay a publication by a faceless APC agent dragging my persons over an allegation of fraud and other unprintable assertions with the writer’s intention of maligning my integrity that I have built over the years.

“Initially, I chose not to respond to the writer’s effortless and grammatically blundered antics of playing dirty politics, but then I realized that it is important for me to correct the misinterpretation labelled to my name by the APC bulldogs, so as to clear my name.

“While the writer was right that I was a former employee of Kwara State Internal Revenue Service (KW-IRS), he is wrong to say that I have worked in Baruten Area office, as I have never even been posted or served in Baruten Local Government as alluded.

“Again, let me state categorically that I have never been indicted by either police or any agency of the government for fraudulent act or any form of financial inappropriateness while I was working with the agency or anywhere in my life and I challenge anyone, even the KW-IRS itself to come open with any incriminating fact or sue me in court.”

Lukman insisted that his dismissal from the KW-IRS was purely based on politics and hatred harbored towards me by few who believe the agency is their personal property.

“Why only now when we defected to SDP that I suddenly become corrupt and fraudulent? Our defection to SDP from APC was basically based on conviction that Social Democratic Party is the right platform for the people of Kwara North, especially in Baruten Local Government and I assure APC handlers in Baruten to watch out what will become of the party in few days to come,” he said
