The Progressive Institute, (the Think Tank and Intellectual Resource Centre
of the All Progressives Congress) Abuja, has congratulated President Bola
Ahmed Tinubu on his victory in the All Progressives Congress, APC,
Presidential Primary Elections held last Saturday.
In a press release signed by the Institute’s Head of Media, Wale Abideen,
the Institute noted that it officially monitored the process that led to the
emergence of Party’s candidates across the Country, adding that the
overwhelming popular support of APC members for President Bola Ahmed
Tinubu GCFR to contest for second term as President was a manifestation of
a wider national support.
The Institute further stated that the emergence of President Tinubu also
underscored national and global support for his courageous and bold public
policies which have stabilized the country’s economy as well as his
commitment to grassroots development through local government
autonomy.
According to the Director General of the Institute, Dr. Lanre Adebayo,
Nigeria under President Tinubu has been globally commended for her
exemplary successes in implementing bold economic reforms, adding that
the country has regained her leading position as a strong African economy
and an attractive investment destination.
The DG of the Institute also commended the leadership of the All
Progressives Congress (APC) for the resounding success of the APC
primaries, adding that, the ruling Party has emerged from this process as an
exemplary, strong, formidable and democratic political institution. He also
stressed that the primaries underscore the APC-led government ‘scommitment to the tenets of democracy, rule of law and internal
democratic practices.
Dr. Adebayo also commends the APC National Chairman, Prof Nentawe
Goshwe Yiwatda for his exemplary leadership, the Party’s National
Secretary, Sen (Dr.) Surajdeen Ajibola Bashiru and all other National
Working Committee members of the APC, describing them as great team
players, noting that their unity of purpose and shared vision are shown in
the massive turnout for the primary elections.
TPI DG also acknowledges the steadfast support of all Nigerians, particularly
the APC Leaders across the states towards making the country great again,
noting that the outcome of the primary elections was a reflection of what
to expect in the next general elections.
