International Women’s Day: Siju Iluyomade Urged Women To Leverage on Technology To Boost Their Businesses

As the world celebrates this year’s edition of International Women’s Day, women have been encouraged to maximize use of technology in all spheres of its establishment, especially as it concerns day-to-day business activities. Technology has indeed formed the basis of this year’s celebration across the world with the theme: DigitALL: Innovation and Technology for Gender Equality.

In Nigeria, the Convener of Arise Women and Handmaiden “Women in Leadership” Dr Siju Iluyomade who has been in forefront of women emancipation, empowerment and leadership for decades will also be holding special edition of Handmaidens “Women in Leadership’, with the topic “Leading Women Leveraging Technology In Market Place” on Wednesday March 8th 2023 at the Redeemed Christian of Church, City of David Sanctuary, Oniru Victoria Island, Lagos.

According to Dr Siju as she is fondly called “ From the earliest days of computing to the present age of virtual reality and artificial intelligence, women have made untold contributions to the digital world in which we increasingly live. Their accomplishments have been against all odds, in a field that has historically neither welcomed nor appreciated them

A practicing Lawyer of over 3decades, Dr Siju in line with this year’s International Women’s Day , has empowered lots of Women in technology educational workshops, which they can use to propel their different areas of endeavor. She said “ there must be gender equality in the technology and digital world because women have consistently played leadership roles in developing new initiatives that have continued to change the global space. She also urged women to make sure they apply technology in their businesses to easier and faster results.

Meanwhile, lots of women both young and old have indicated interest to attend this year’s special handmaiden “ Women in Leadership” event scheduled to hold on the IWD where Dr Siju will be speaking on how Women can leverage on technology to build their businesses.

Handmaidens forum is the Women arm of the RCCG City of David, Oniru, Lagos
