Still basking in the euphoria of a successful 14th edition of Arise Women activities in the past weeks which culminated in the Arise Women Conference held on the 29th of October 2022, reports emanating from the hospital built by Arise in Dafara, a suburb in Abuja has been totally pleasing.
The hospital built by Arise under the leadership of Dr Siju Iluyomade to bring succor to the residents of the community who are predominantly less privileged has been very helpful in providing health services across the area. According to information made available to us, the Clinic has provided thousands of successful health services to people in the community, particularly child delivery, Mother & Child care and several primary health care.
The Dafara Clinic provided by the Arise Women according to management of the hospital, which is provided almost free to support efforts of the government, often records an average of 30 pregnant women who registered for Antenatal and delivers their babies in the hospital. Not only that, we learnt, Mother and Child care has recorded huge success, hence, the call by people who live in the community for other corporate bodies to emulate the gesture being provided by Arise Women. Also in the last one year, the Clinic has received some uplift in a bid to function well with provision of more drugs, building renovation and construction of new borehole. The hospital was provided by Arise Women under the leadership of Dr Siju Iluyomade for the Dafara Community in Abuja under the ‘Adopt-a-Village’ policy.
