Empower Your Members Through Cooperative Society, TPI DG Tells Nigerian Artisans

The TPI DG stated that in many advanced countries, Artisans and Technicians grow the economy of their respective countries in no small measures

The Director General, DG of The Progressive Institute, TPI , Lanre Adebayo, PhD has charged members of the Association of Nigeria Artisans and Technicians, ASNAT to embark on cooperative society in other to raise funds for it members productivity.

Dr. Adebayo gave this advice when members of ASNAT paid him a courtesy visit in his office in Abuja. The TPI DG stated that in many advanced countries, Artisans and Technicians grow the economy of their respective countries in no small measures as their products and services form the bulk of what are being exported to other countries which increased their GDP.

”I appreciate your being here. I promise you the support of our institute especially in the area of training and capacity building. I will help you to seek the support of Ministries of Commerce, Agriculture and other agencies that could aid you in achieving your goals of contributing to Nigerian economy. Co-operative society is an important tool to enhance the productivity of any association like yours, please go and embark on that so as to empower your members with funds”, the DG said.

Earlier, the National Coordinator of the association, Adeshina Akinyemi thanked the DG for his supports. He maintained that ASNAT has over 25 millions members across the country with affiliation of 30 groups and associations. He added that the group is planning first Nigerian Artisans and Technicians Exhibition and fair tagged: NATEF ABUJA 2024 later this month.
