The Election rerun drama in the North Eastern State of Adamawa continued yesterday as the nation’s electoral umpire, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC asked the State Resident Electoral Commission, REC, Barrister Yunnusa Ari to stay away from the Commission’s premises in Yola henceforth.

The action is a sequence for the unilateral declaration of the results of the rerun election conducted on Saturday, April 15, instead of the Returning Officer constitutional empowered to do so

Meanwhile, the APC gubernatorial candidate in the election has also thrown in a legal spanner as a Federal High in court in Abuja yesterday granted her prayers to restrain INEC from tampering with the results of the rerun election as announced by the deposed REC, Ari.

The suspense however continues as the nation waited with bated breath to see how INEC will handle the impasse.
