Maryam Yahaya a very rich and beautiful Kannywood actress was born in 1997 in Kano in Goron Dutse area of Kano State, she attended both her primary and secondary schools in Kano, before joining Kannywood.
Her first film TARADIDI, was not successful, but she instantly became popular and very expensive artist after Ali Nuhu featured her in one of his popular films MANSOOR.
After that film she became so arrogant and stubborn and was later blacklisted by producers and directors.
In 202, she fell sick and nearly died, when it became obvious that she may not survive the sickness, her parents stopped treating her and later embarked on spiritual solution, and the media did not help matters at the time, with some reporting that Maryam was inflicted with diseases that are terminal in nature.
Maryam since then has vowed never to associate with the press again especially the social media. But last week, she told our correspondent that she now need the press more than before because she is now a fully matured actress that is ready to face the world, and accepted a brief chat.
Hear her: “Let me tell you things about me that are not in the media, also to tell you some past stories that were written about me that made people to hate me this include the type of sickness that befell me in 2021 which the media used it to run me down.
Some came to my family house in Goron Dutse but later went to town with fake stories that I was cursed by my colleagues in Kannywood especially after Ali Nuhu featured me in his successful film MANSOOR, I am arrogant and stubborn according to some media.
But it is deliberate by me to avoid the getting unnecessary attention by members of the public”.
On her instant successes, she is not only grateful to God but will always attribute her success to Ali Nuhu and Hadiza Gabon. Ali Nuhu has since adopted her like a daughter same with Hadiza Gabon, they are the ones opening doors of successes for her.
“Hadiza is pretty good to me, very generous and a caring society lady”. On her love life, Maryam revealed that she has a tall ambition in acting, but on July 17th next month, she will mark her 26th birthday by then she will tell her admirers when she will get married but even then she is not actually eager to get married.
“I had it rough before I became a successful actress, so all the story about my arrogant was deliberately created by me, to avoid money bags who rush after us thinking that we are cheap and can do anything for money.
Secondly, I prefer to leave my life the way I want it, to associate with only those that I respect, I always traveled to the Holy land to pray to my God for success and long life. In some cases, I go to my parents and pay for them, I had bad moments, including those that refer to me as the actress formally selling Soya Bean Cake (AWARA), but today I can afford to leave a luxury life, I also have businesses like boutique, so those that prefer to hate me can continue to do that.
God is kind to me, I have reached a stage that I will be difficult to run me down”.
