The two honours, presented at the 2026 EDGE Awards organised by Marketing Edge, recognise both the agency’s contribution to strategic communications and reputation management and Modupe’s longstanding influence and contribution to the public relations industry.

For nearly three decades, TPT International has helped organisations find the right words, shape important conversations and protect the reputation behind their brands. Its latest recognition comes at a time when the communications landscape continues to evolve, with organisations increasingly required to do more than simply achieve visibility. They must build trust, manage complex stakeholder relationships and navigate conversations with customers, employees, regulators, investors, the media and other stakeholders.

Since its establishment in 1997, TPT International has built its practice around this evolving communications landscape, providing expertise across corporate communications, marketing PR, public affairs, crisis communication, reputation management and strategic counselling.

The agency works with organisations to respond effectively to challenges, identify opportunities and strengthen stakeholder engagement while protecting and building long-term reputation.

The double recognition at the EDGE Awards adds to a notable period of industry acknowledgement for the consultancy. Earlier this month, TPT International was named in the inaugural Africa Consultancy Performance Index 2026, published by Earned First. The index assessed consultancies across business performance, creative impact and client outcomes, innovation and thought leadership, talent and culture, and industry leadership.

The recognition also comes against the backdrop of a broader evolution in public relations and strategic communications across Africa, with the discipline extending beyond traditional media relations to encompass reputation, influence, stakeholder engagement and strategic business counsel.

At the centre of TPT International’s journey is Adetokunbo Modupe, a communications practitioner and Harvard Business School alumnus, whose career has spanned decades of work in public relations, marketing communications and strategic counsel.

Under his leadership, TPT International has developed a growing African footprint while maintaining an alliance with global communications network WE Communications, providing access to international expertise while retaining a strong understanding of the Nigerian and African market.

Commenting on the recognition, Modupe described the honours as another milestone in TPT International’s journey, while emphasising that the agency remains focused on the future.

“We know where we are today, and we know where we are building towards. This is a starting line, not a finish line. We will keep building.”

The two EDGE honours therefore represent recognition at both the institutional and individual levels—acknowledging TPT International’s contribution as a strategic communications consultancy while celebrating Modupe’s personal contribution to the growth and development of the public relations practice.

After nearly three decades of helping organisations shape their narratives, TPT International continues to build its own story—one defined by strategic thinking, meaningful impact and a commitment to shaping the future of communications in Africa.
