NIGERIA’S FLAMINGOS BEAT GERMANY TO GET BRONZE IN INDIA

The Flamingos have therefore become the  first  Nigerian female U17 team to win a medal at the FIFA U17 Women World Cup.

NIGERIA’S FLAMINGOS BEAT GERMANY TO GET BRONZE IN INDIA

Nigeria’s Under 17 Female Football team, the Flamingos, paid back the Germans girls in their coins to win the the third place match and Bronze medal in the on-going Under 17 Female Football World Cup in India.

The Flamingos have theregore become the  first  Nigerian female U17 team to win a medal at the FIFA U17 Women World Cup.

Nigeria led Germany, which had earlier beaten the Nigerian side 2-1 in their opening encounter in the group stage, 3-0 until the 72nd minute, but gave it up the lead and the game went to penalties.
