TPI Will Accelerate Good Governance in Nigeria, Says NPC DG, Dr. Angundi

The DG of TPI added that APC is ready to bring Nigeria to the highest level of good governance, enhance the capacity of Nigerians globally and instill the Progressives ideology on the public officials both at the national level and grassroot level of government.

The All Progressives Congress, APC Intellectual Resorce Center would play a vital role in impacting the ideals of progressive governance in Nigeria. The Director General, DG of the Productivity Center, NPC, Dr. Bafa Baba Dan Angundi dropped this hints during a courtesy visit of The Progressive Institute, TPI at his office in Abuja last Thursday.

Led by its Director General, DG, Lanre Adebayo, PhD, The Progressive Institute, TPI was at the NPC to introduce the institute and seek the support of its management in actualizing the mandate of TPI.

Dr. Adebayo who was accompanied by the Director of Program and Training, Malam Muhammad Sanusi-Kiru, the Director of Legal services, Barrister Ego Queen-Ezuma, Director of Finance and Account Dr. Ibo Basey highlights the achievements and challenges of the institute, noting that APC is the best thing to happen to Nigeria with the establishment of TPI.

The DG of TPI added that APC is ready to bring Nigeria to the highest level of good governance, enhance the capacity of Nigerians globally and instill the Progressives ideology on the public officials both at the national level and grassroot level of government.

“With the support of our leader and National Chairman of our party, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, TPI was able to successfully host a National Conference on Skills Acquisition and Challenges of Unemployment. The report and the Blueprint of the Conference is ready and will soon be formally presented to the President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu”

Dr. Adebayo hints on the proposed Ideology Conference and the establishment of APC Curriculum which according to him is being given serious attention by the Ganduje led APC.

According to TPI DG, “the documents papers are ready, we’re constituting various committees to be drawn from the party stakeholders and political scholars so as to achieve a genuine Ideological contents that will propel and accelerate democratic dividends to Nigerians. The draft policy will be accessed and approved at a National Discourse which will come up soon”

TPI Director of Program and Training, Malam Sanusi-Kiru while soliciting the support of NPC noted that TPI has secured training program from Katsina and Jigawa states. He added similar training is being proposed for Niger and Nasarawa states. All these, according to Malam Kiru will accelerate democratic development in the country.

Responding, NPC DG pledges the support of his center for the institute. Dr. Angundi observed that NPC and TPI has similar mandate and “we are partners in progress .

“I’m expecting that TPI will be mandated to provide training and issue certification to anybody aspiring for a position through the APC. I will encourage and sponsor such training that would enhance the capacity of our party officials so as to improve their performance for good leadership roles”, Dr. Angundi stated.

Others at the meeting are Malam Wale Abideen, TPI Head of Media and Mr. Hassan Muhammad Bello, TPI Head of Protocol
