Prince Abimbola Olashore elected 19th President of NBCC

Prince Olashore said what they need to do is very clear to them and that the achievements of the chamber are quite evident for everyone to see. He promised to build on it and take the chamber to a new level that the members will be proud of.

Prince Abimbola Olashore, Founder of Lead Capital and Chairman, Olashore International School Board of Governors has been elected and decorated as 19th President and Chairman Council of Nigerian-British Chamber of Commerce (NBCC) at the 46th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the foremost chamber held Lagos on Thursday. He succeeds Mr. Ray Atelly after a two-year service.

In his acceptance speech, the new president thanked members of the chamber for voting him in as the new president.

According to him, “ I have been in the chamber for about 10 years and has been a member of advocacy committee treasurer, chairman of trade and investment, chairman of membership among others. I am very much aware of the traditions of the chamber and the aspirations of the members.

“I am really very grateful to the patrons and past presidents for laying such a wonderful foundation that has made it easier for those of us that are coming to build upon. As a Deputy President in the previous administration, I already know what we have and also a good idea of what needs to be done.”

Prince Olashore who was the Vice Chairman of the constitution review committee reiterated that he is very much aware of the contents of the constitution, and reassured the members that he would abide by the contents of the constitution.

Prince Olashore said what they need to do is very clear to them and that the achievements of the chamber are quite evident for everyone to see. He promised to build on it and take the chamber to a new level that the members will be proud of.

Before the election and decoration of the new president, the out-going President, Mr. Atelly reeled out some of the major achievements of the outgoing administration which are the launching of NBBC Media, which is an archive of visual narrative across YouTube and other digital platforms, the weekly NBCC Outlook, The NBCC Network Magazine as well as high quality brochures and branded materials which elevated their image at trade missions, summits, and special events which aligned their presentations with international standards.
