Speaking in an interview with Abiodun Folorunsho of Bond FM 92.9 in Ikeja, Lagos state, Nigeria, the Director General encouraged Nigerians to exercise patience with the current administration’s choice to rebuild the country, as opposed to patching its damaged structure as was done by previous administrations.

The DG explained that the current sufferings citizens are facing is the effect of the rebuilding stage which the current administration has embarked upon.

Assuring Nigerians that NOA is committed to its mandate, he said the nationwide sensitisation programme is to educate Nigerians on the new approved policies of governement on value re-orientation one of which is the National Values Charter.

He explained that the charter, especially the Nigerian Promise component assures citizens of seven commitments including Equality and Meritocracy, regardless of ethnicity, language or religion.

The DG assured listeners that NOA would ensure policies reach the average citizen, using the Artisan association database collected by the Agency’s officers across the 774 local governments areas in the 36 states and the FCT.

He said community media like Radio, Television and even the Social Media will be utilised in communicating government policies and programmes.

The DG stated that citizens have a right to complain about the hardships resulting from the administration’s decision to rebuild from scratch, however he encouraged listeners to understand that though it is hard, the process of rebuilding is the right choice.
