The Chairmanship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming local Government elections in Irepodun Local Government, Hon. Yakubu Azeez has lauded the inspirational leadership of the Asiwaju of Oko Irese, Dr. JBO Adewumi.
During a thank you visit to Dr. Adewumi at his residence in Ilorin shortly after his announcement as the APC Candidate, Azeez said he was honoured to have received the full support of Asiwaju at the Just concluded APC Primaries in Irepodun Local Government.
The APC candidate said he would unveil his agenda for development in due course.
In his response, Dr. Adewumi, the Chancellor of Kwara State University, Malete, and also the Founder and Chancellor of Thomas Adewumi University, Oko and Convener, of Kwara South Development Initiative ( KSDI) congratulated the APC candidate for his victory at the party primaries. He advised him to make rural development and accountability the cornerstone of his administration if elected.
Azeez, a former elected vice chairman in Irepodun Local Government and immediate past party chairman in the local government was accompanied by APC Chieftain, Oloriewe Raheem Adedoyin and the member representing Irepodun LGA in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Shola Odetundun.
