Troops of Operation SAFE HAVEN (OPSH) on Operation HAKORIN DAMISA IV have arrested two suspects in connection with the brutal murder of a woman and her two children in Southern Kaduna.
It was reported that the woman identified simply as Nnaa, her children and three others were killed when gunmen attacked Takania village in Zango Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State last week.
The acting Secretary to the District Head of the Community, Samson Markus, said the terrorists invaded the village at around 7pm on September 26, 2023, on and opened fire killing four people in the same compound while two in another family.
We were going about our normal business when we heard gunshots, we thought it was the military at first until we saw it was the Fulanis who came in from Zango Urban. Before the military arrived, they had succeeded in killing six persons, including 2 children. The arrival of the military was what scared them, and they took to their hills and left the community, he alleged.
The Nigerian Army confirmed the arrest of the two suspects in a statement on Thursday, October 5. The suspects were paraded alongside 89 others arrested for various crimes in Plateau and Kaduna State.
The gallant troops acting on credible information also arrested Goma Abubakar and Jibril Abass in connection to the attack on Takania village in Zango Kataf LGA of Kaduna State where six persons were murdered in cold blood. the statement reads.
